My Weekend

It rained all day on Saturday, but Riley and I still went to Target. We're from the east coast so we're not afraid of a little weather!

I love the Revlon ColorStay foundation but the first bottle I bought wasn't quite the right color so I decided to go back and try another color. This time I got Sand Beige, and it matches a lot better! =D

I discovered for the first time how great Palmer's Cocoa Butter is! Here is my review on it Palmer's Cocoa Butter Review. I was also looking for the Milani Liquif'eye eyeliner but Target doesn't seem to carry Milani stuff anymore.

For dinner I made some garlic fries like the famous Gordon Biersch ones! Very delish...but only as a rare treat. Yum!

On Sunday we stayed in and watched the Steelers game...they won! Yay! And I made Chicken Marsala for dinner...again SO delish!

How was your weekend?

My New Favorite Body Lotion!

Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula is a rich body lotion that smells deliciously like hot cocoa. I can't believe it took me so long to discovered how great this lotion is! It's thick and creamy and absorbs immediately. It does not leave your hands feeling greasy at all. Even after washing my hands they were still soft. I've tried and own A LOT of lotions and swore that my house could not fit another bottle, but after testing this in the store I just had to get it...that's how amazing it is. If you haven't tried this yet, I strongly recommend that you do, especially since the weather is colder now and your skin needs extra moisture.

Blistex Review

Blistex is my favorite chapstick brand and I have been using it every single day for years. I always keep a chapstick in every room of the house and in my purse. Here is a review of the products I've tried in the order of favorite to least favorite.

Medicated Lip Balm
I always have this one with me.
Texture: Not too hard and not too soft
Consistency: Glides on and stays on
Scent: Minty/Medicated, not bad

Complete Moisture
I like this one a lot too.
Texture: A little on the soft side
Consistency: Glides on easily
Scent: Fresh

Silk & Shine
Gives lips a slight shine.
Texture: Hard
Consistency: Feels thin
Scent: Nice

Medicated Mint Lip Balm
I like the minty flavor
Texture: A little on the hard side
Consistency: Regular
Scent: Mint

Raspberry Lemonade Blast
I thought I'd like the flavor but it's annoying to smell it all day
Texture: Hard
Consistency: Regular
Scent: Very strong raspberry lemonade

Medicated Lip Ointment
I don't like the medicated smell
Texture: Very soft, almost liquidy
Consistency: Too thin, doesn't stay on
Scent: Very medicated

Lip Fusion Moisture Splash
Makes lips look oily
Texture: Oil
Consistency: Very thin and does not stay on
Scent: Nice

Fruit Smoothies
These are my least favorite. They have a weird smell.
Texture: Very hard
Consistency: Hard to put on
Scent: Gross

Overall, Blistex makes great chapsticks and I would recommend any of these (esp. the top 4) for chapped lips. I probably wouldn't recommend the Fruit Smoothies but different people might perceive the flavor differently. The medicated ones are great for severely chapped lips or if you're going to be in severe weather conditions. It's important to wear chapstick every single day, and to choose one with SPF. Lips don't tan, they burn!

It's finally cold enough for boots! Today I'm wearing one of my favorite pairs. I love the little bow on the side and the comfy kitten heel. I can walk forever in these boots. ♥

Current Obsession: Coconut Water

Normally I only drink water but lately I've been really into trying different brands of coconut water. So far I've tried Goya, Faraon and Sprouts (a local farmer's market type grocery store only available in CA, AZ, CO and TX). I really like the Goya and Faraon ones cuz they have pulp. However, they also have sugar added, which means more calories. I've also tried another brand years ago (maybe Zico?) but I drank it un-chilled and it was disgusting! The key to coconut water is that it HAS to be chilled or else it will taste horrible.

Coconut water is considered nature's soft drink and claims to have many health benefits like: clears acne, increases metabolism, boosts immune system, rehydrates body (is isotonic), etc. I've only started drinking it so I will try out this little experiment and let you know if I feel any different.
Supposedly juice straight from a young coconut is the best but I haven't been ambitious enough to try yet. What are some of your favorite brands of coconut water?

A Walk On The Wild Side

My shoes and purse of the day!

Most Delish Lollipops

I don't really eat candy or like it very much but a few months ago I discovered these amazing gourmet lollipops made by See's Candies. They come in 4 flavors (in order of preference): Butterscotch, Vanilla, Café Latté, and Chocolate.

I'm having a Vanilla one right now! Yum!! These little cubes of joy make my day sweeter =)
